Giuseppe has been discharged by the Italian Army and does not receive any pension. He now works as a part-time mechanic in Treviso.
Lieutenant colonel Emerico Laccetti works for the Italian Red Cross in Rome. After a number of radio and chemotherapy cycles, the large tumoral mass in his chess styopped growing and is now under control. He still works for the Red Cross.

Due to the several cycles of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other medical cures he spent some 25 thousands euros. He is now receiving a pension for stress reasons.

As for all the other victims, independent studies by Italian researchers showed the presence of high amounts of heavy metals in his body. Such a presence seems to be only linkable to the contamination of exploded depleted uranium weapons.
